It has a beautiful carbon fiber hanger that supports a 30mm square structural aluminum bar that is 14 inches long ( 45 cm ). The bar has a thick rubber strip that wont wear out anytime soon. The hanger bar swivels to always provide the a soild contact patch with your rod. If you choose not to use the rubber pad, rotate it to the soild aluminum part. The cam buckle is made from stainless steel also.
